I am 53 years old and the father of two teen boys. I grew up in the town of Ribe about 300 km outside Copenhagen. When I was 19, I was sent off to Israel by my mom. That was my first real contact with Judaism outside my family. It was also the beginning of my own path to Judaism, a Jewish identity and eventually conversion 11 years ago to Judaism. For 20 years I have worked as a cardiac nurse. Work wise, I’m split in between teaching all new staff members at my hospital in advanced life support and resuscitation and working in Cardiac catheterization and in a cardiac semi IU. I have been working with the dying patient for more than 20 years and my bachelor was about communication to the dying patient and the setting for that communication.
